For more than two decades, Worthy Ministries has reached believers, seekers, pastors, missionaries, and intercessors across Israel and the nations — through Worthy News, Worthy Devotions, Worthy Brief, Worthy Christian Forums, and other outreach platforms. Built to serve the Body of Messiah beyond the walls of a single congregation, Worthy carries a unique perspective on Israel, the Church, and God's unfolding purposes in history through the Whitten family's own years of life and ministry in the Land.
Through forums, chat, prayer communities, and daily fellowship, believers connect, pray for one another, and grow together in Scripture. As the digital world changes, the calling stays the same: to strengthen the Body of Messiah, help believers understand the times through Scripture, and encourage them to watch, pray, stand firm, and shine the light of Messiah in a darkening world.

Meet its Founders
George Whitten founded and directs Worthy Ministries and serves as chief editor of Worthy News, a Christian news agency launched in 1999 to help believers understand world events through a Biblical lens.
With a background in journalism, political consulting, and more than 30 years of full-time ministry, George brings a unique perspective shaped by the newsroom, Washington, D.C., and more than two decades of life in Israel.
As a pastor, revivalist, author, and voice of the Worthy Brief, George calls believers to watch, pray, and stand faithfully in these last days
Alongside George, Baht Rivka Whitten brings a deeply rooted Israeli testimony and a powerful worship anointing to Worthy Ministries. Born in Tel Aviv during the Yom Kippur War of 1973, Baht Rivka carries a family heritage connected to the early pioneering settlements of central Israel. As a young adult, she began reading the Bible and came to faith in the Lord, later leading her parents to Him as well.
George and Baht Rivka were married by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn in the early 2000s, beginning a life of ministry together that has carried the sound and message of Israel to the nations. Baht Rivka is an accomplished musician, recording artist, and worship leader whose music blends original songs, traditional Israeli melodies, Hebrew and English lyrics, and rhythms from around the world. Her worship has reached audiences through television, radio, international conferences, outreach events, and the distribution of her albums, with songs from her latest CD even played on secular Israeli radio.
Together, George and Baht Rivka have ministered as a family for more than two decades, carrying a unique expression of Worship and Word from Israel to the nations. From their prayer house in southern Israel, they pioneered a Shabbat dinner and music outreach that continues to touch seeking Israelis, while also ministering at hundreds of congregations, conferences, and outreach events around the world.
The Worthy logo was designed to carry the heart and message of the ministry. At first glance, the symbol forms a “W” for Worthy, but it also echoes the shape of the Hebrew letter Shin — a letter rich with Biblical meaning and deeply connected to Jerusalem.
In Jewish tradition, the letter Shin is associated with El Shaddai, meaning “God Almighty” or “the All-Sufficient God.” It also appears in Jerusalem’s natural topography, where the valleys surrounding the ancient city form a pattern resembling the Shin. This connection reminds us that Worthy Ministries is rooted in the God of Israel, the God who is sufficient for every need, faithful to every promise, and sovereign over His eternal purposes.
The logo is also illuminated like a candle, representing every believer’s calling to be a light in the darkness. Yeshua (Jesus) said, “You are the light of the world,” and Worthy Ministries exists to encourage believers to shine boldly in a world that desperately needs the truth of God’s Word.
At the center of the icon is the lion, representing the Lion of Judah — Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah. This lion speaks of courage, authority, victory, and the royal calling placed within every believer. Through Him, we are called to stand firm, proclaim truth, and carry the light of the Kingdom into the nations.
Together, the Worthy logo is more than a design. It is a declaration: the All-Sufficient God reigns, the Lion of Judah has overcome, and His people are called to shine His light in the darkness.
Worthy News
Worthy News was founded in 1999 with a simple mandate from the words of Yeshua: “Watch therefore, and pray always, that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things.” What began as a call to help believers watch and pray has grown into a trusted Christian news service, reaching more than 350,000 unique visitors each month with over 3 million pages read monthly.
With writers and contributors from Jerusalem, Budapest, across Europe, and the United States, Worthy News reports on Israel, persecution, prophecy, global affairs, and major events shaping the world. Its mission is to keep watchmen informed with timely, accurate, and spiritually relevant news from a biblical perspective.
Worthy News also freely syndicates its content to ministries that desire up-to-date Christian news for their audiences. Out of this same vision came the Worthy Brief, a Monday-through-Friday devotional and news email sent to more than 35,000 subscribers, continuing the ministry’s call since 1999 to watch, pray, and encourage the Body of Messiah.
